The GYC Turkey Trot is one of our biggest fundraisers each year. It helps cover our outreach expenses, including our daily "Drop-In" time for students following school hours. Over the past 7 years, the Turkey Trot has grown more than we ever expected. Our registration numbers continue to increase each year, as do our event expenses. For the past 7 years, we have been fortunate to have local businesses, organizations and families join us as "Official Sponsors". Not only does this benefit us, but our sponsors as well. As an "Official Sponsor", businesses are able to promote their business at our event. Their logos are displayed on our Turkey Trot shirts, and they are able to include a flyer, brochure, etc. in our race bags, which are given to the hundreds of people who attend. They are recognized at the beginning of the race, and they have the opportunity to put a banner at our finish line. Most importantly our sponsors help the Gilford Youth Center continue to offer beneficial programs to children and families of the Lakes Region, and show that that they support the kind of community outreach that we offer.
