Welcome to the Gilford Youth Center Website!
This website is intended to provide residents of Gilford and the Lakes Region on
the schedule, programs and events at the Gilford Youth Center (GYC)
The GYC opened its doors in November 2009, and is currently offering various programs for youth, families and seniors. The GYC offers a full size gymnasium, fitness room, game room, and social room.
The GYC not only sponsors many programs, but also works with other local
departments and businesses to provide space and improve existing programs and

"Drop-In" time will begin on Wednesday, September 1st
The Gilford Youth Center holds "Drop In" times every weekday, following school hours,
from 2:30 - 4:30pm. Drop in time is for middle school and high school students. This is an
unstructured, unsupervised time. There will be a staff on site, however, students are not
directly supervised during this time. Drop-In time is free to attend.
The GYC expects all students who attend drop in time to act and behave accordingly.
All children who attend drop in time must have a registration form filled out by a parent
or legal gaurdian. Those who have submitted a form last year do not have to submit another one.
Forms can be picked up at the Gilford Youth Center.
The GYC holds the right to remove any person from our facility and property if he/she is not
following our rules and policies.

Registrations for the 2010-2011 After School Club
The Gilford Youth Center will be hosting an After School Club,
following school hours during the 2010-2011 school year. The A.S.C.
is a structured, supervised program, running from 2:30pm - 5:30pm,
Monday-Friday.
Particpants arrive to the Gilford Youth Center by bus, following school.
The program focuses on academics, and children are given time daily to
finish their homework. Academic help is available during this time.
The program also offers group activities,cooking, sports, arts and crafts,
team building games, and field trips on early release days.

Evert Friday night, The GYC holds "Family Night", Sponsored by the Gilford
Rotary. Family Night is from 5:30-7:30PM. Come and use your great facility and fun
recreation equipment AT NO COST!!

High School and Middle School "Drop In Time"
The Gilford Youth Center is committed to providing a safe and fun place for the youth of our community. Starting in the fall, the GYC will host a daily "Drop In Time" for the local youth. Each weekday, the center will be open from 2:30pm to 4:30pm for High School and Middle School Students to use the facility and our equipment at no cost. There will be a staff on site during this time, however this is not a scheduled, supervised, or structured program. Students in Elementary School must have a guardian present during this time.
