The 2024 GYC Middle School Summer Camp 

The Gilford Youth Center is excited to announce that we will, once again, be offering a 5-week, full day summer camp for Lakes Region students in grades 5-8 (this includes students going into grade 5 and into grade 9 in the 24-25 school year).

The program will be held at the Gilford Youth Center.  The program will also utilize the Gilford Community Church and the Wixson Community Center, Town fields, the Gilford Library, The Gilford Beach, and other local spots.

Our mission is to offer a safe, structured, and fun atmosphere for every child who comes to camp.

2024 Schedule

The Camp will run for 5 weeks on the dates below. You can register for the entire camp or for certain weeks only.  Please know that space is limited this summer.  Camp will run 8:30-4:30.

Week 1:   6/24-6/28                   
Week 2:   7/1-7/3 (no camp thursday or friday)      
Week 3:    7/8-7/12
Week 4:   7/15-7/19= CURRENTLY FULL
Week 5:   7/22-7/26= CURRENTLY FULL

Tuition

Pre-Regristration Tuition Costs
$165/per week  (week 2 is $125)

Limited Space 

Due to travel capacity, the GYC Summer camp will have limited numbers each week.  Spots will be available, and taken on a "first come, first served" basis.  

Field Trips

The summer camp will offer weekly field trips to local attractions.  This includes trips to Gilford Beach twice a week, and 1 trip to a local attraction.  There will also be days when the camp will travel to local hiking trails.

Field Trip Schedule will be announced in April, 2024.

Other Important Information

·  Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from the Gilford Youth Center.  Doors will open at 8:30am and pickup will be no later than 4:30.  

· Students will be required to provide their 2 snacks, beverages and lunch.  This includes beach days and field trips.  Sorry, but no refrigeration is available.

·  Parents are responsible to inform staff of any special considerations for their child(ren).  This will include allergies, physical limitations, etc.

Can I register for certain days of the week?
Due to the limited number of spots available, we only allow weekly registrations.

When is payment due?
Your first registered week fee is due by JUNE 1st.  Payment for other registered weeks is due by the Friday of the previous week. 

Can I cancel a registered week(s), and be refunded?
You are responsible for paying for all the weeks your register for.  If you decide not to send your child, you will still be responsible for payment, unless you cancel prior to two weeks before the registered week. In that case, you will be refunded.
