Building a Better Community One Gift at a Time
The Success of the Gilford Youth Center is direct result of the support from our community. Contributions and sponsorships from families and businesses helps us to continue to offer our facility to families and organizations at little or no cost. Our community outreach, which offers our facility to the community for free, includes our "Open Gym" times, and our daily "Drop In" times. Drop In offers students a safe place to have fun, exercise and socialize following school hours. The Gilford Youth Center is also committed to never turning a child away from our programs due to financial situations. Community support also allows us to provide financial aid and scholarships to families in need. In 2018, 25% of the participants in the GYC Summer Camp received financial aid.
