What is a Virtual 5K ?

​Virtual Races are a new trend in the running community. Runners who sign up for a virtual race register online and simply choose their own starting line, whether it's a treadmill or a neighborhood street. They run the race distance (in this case, a 5K), time themselves, and upload their finish time.  Our virtual race will span for 4 days...participants can choose which day/time to start.

Who Can Participate?
We encourage all ages to participate.  We will post times for age groups as well. 
We also invite walkers to take part in the 5K

All Participants will Receive (via Mail)....
1. Race Bib
2. A Virtual 5K T-shirt*
   *Register before April 5th to receive your tshirt prior to the race dates.  Those who register after April 5th, may receive shirt after the race.

Top finishers for each age bracket will also receive a race medal (via mail).
Top Overall  Male and Female Finisher will receive a Virtual 5K Sweatshirt!!!!

Date of the Event
Participants will need to Run/walk during the event period, April 17-20th. Participants can choose which day and what time to run/walk.

Cost of the Event
$12.00 per person.  Proceeds will help support the Gilford Youth Center.

Other Information
- Anyone, from anywhere can participate in this race.  Please help us spread the word.  
- We encourage participants to take a picture while participating...we will share photos on our website and social media.
