The GHS NHS is teaming up with the Gilford Youth Center to host the 3rd Annual "Run to Remember" in honor of all of our past and present heroes. The event is held on Monday, May 28th (Memorial Day) at 9am (8:45am walkers). Following the race, there will be the annual Memorial Day Parade. This event is a 5K Race, Family Walk, and a Kids 1K Fun Run. The course is a registered 5K course, and runs through Gilford Village. There will be awards given to the top male and female finishers. Local veterans are invited to participate, or stand at the finish line at the Honored Veterans Tent. All participants who run the 1K fun run will receive a medal and t-shirt. The Fun run will be guided by members of the GHS NHS to ensure they are safe at all times. Parents can run with their children, but it is not mandatory. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Camp Resilience, a local organization whose mission is to provide sustained, comprehensive programs to help wounded warriors recover their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
