tWhat is Baton Twirling?
The sport of baton twirling is an incredible learned skill that combines the arts of movement, dance, and gymnastics.    Through baton twirling your child will learn and develop skills including: flexibility, teamwork, body coordination, self-discipline, gracefulness, rhythm, timing, sharper motor skills, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and much more!   Above all, we will make friends, have fun, and learn to twirl!

About the Quantum Twirling Program
Team night will be Friday nights from 4:15pm-5:15pm for 8 weeks (total of 8 classes). Classes will begin Friday, January 7th and this teaching section will conclude Friday, February 25th.  At the 8th class on 2/25, families will be invited to come watch a short performance where the students will perform the skills they have learned. Classes will always begin with stretching to warm up muscles. Students will begin to learn basic baton twirling skills and develop hand-eye coordination, rhythm, timing, gracefulness, self-discipline, and body coordination. Above all, we are here to make friends, have fun, and learn to twirl!
Quantum Twirling is not part of the Gilford Youth Center.



Ages: 6-12

Cost: $60 Registration Fee-  Includes baton and practice t-shirt
           $60 Monthly Tuition

​Session 1 dates:  Fridays, 1/7-2/25
Time: 4:15-5:15p

About the Instructor
Kourtney Poland, 28,  is a former performance and competition team member of a World Champion baton twirling team.  She has  performed everywhere from her back yard to Disney World. She has been twirling for 23 years and is excited to teach this sport!

How To Register

    Your child will be released only to the custodial parent or legal guardian, and/or the persons listed below.  The following people will also be contacted are are authorized to remove your child in case of illness, accident, or emergency, if for some reason the custodial parent or legal guardian cannot be reached.
